Our FE Investments team looks after the construction and ongoing
management of our portfolio ranges. Working together, they
perform top-down analysis on all prospective funds we might
include in our portfolios before looking at asset allocations to
ensure we are managing risk appropriately for our clients.

Rob Gleeson
Chief Investment Officer
After graduating in Economics from Swansea University, Rob joined FE fundinfo in 2005. Working initially as a data analyst, he was responsible for redeveloping the company’s data systems as well as creating new fund databases. Rob became a fund analyst in 2008 and produced research that was published on Trustnet and in the trade and national press. Rob gained the CFA charter in 2009 and led the creation of FE Investments business in 2010. He currently heads up the investment team and is responsible for developing new products and processes as well as managing its range of managed portfolios.
Charles Younes
More about CharlesAfter graduating with a Master of Science in Risk and Asset Management and a Master in Management from EDHEC Business School (France), Charles joined FE in 2012 as a fund analyst.
Prior to joining FE, Charles was a Hedge Fund Analyst at Amundi Alternative Investments for two years, mainly covering long/short equities and event-driven strategies. Charles started his career in Paris in 2008 with AMLab, a subsidiary of OFI AM and La Banque Postale. The company’s goal was to seed fund innovative asset management companies.
Charles is now responsible for the production of analysis and research documents on the FE Invest Approved List funds, as well as interacting with selected fund managers. He also oversees FE’s recommended funds list and model portfolios using quantitative governance tools. Charles is a CFA Charter holder.
Ed Margot
More about EdEd graduated from the University of Exeter, where he studied Accounting and Finance and gained the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments’ (CISI) Diploma in Wealth & Investment Management.
Prior to joining FE Investments in 2019, Ed held a range of high-profile roles throughout the investment industry. Most recently he led a £2 billion portfolio management team at London & Capital where he worked with ultra-high net worth clients and developed a range of portfolios for investor visas. Subsequently, he prepared submissions for the Home Office and Isle of Man Government on immigration and inward investment.
At FE Investments, Ed is an Investment Strategist and works with existing and prospective clients to communicate its investment strategy, philosophy and investment processes.
Amandine Thierree
More about AmandineAmandine graduated with a Specialised Masters in Finance from ESCP Europe, having first gained a Bachelors degree in Mathematics. She initially began her career as a fund analyst, at FundQuest in Paris, where she covered hedge funds. Her role involved quantitative and qualitative analysis, as well as carrying out due diligence for the funds to create a shortlist for BNP Paribas’s private banking arm.
Amandine joined FE Investments in 2011 as a Fund Analyst and now, as Portfolio Manager, is responsible for the production of analysis and research documents on the FE Investments Approved List funds, as well as interacting with selected fund managers. She also oversees the recommended funds list and model portfolios using quantitative governance tools.
Amandine is also a CFA Charter holder and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.
Oliver Clarke-Williams
More about OliverOliver graduated with a Masters from the University of Surrey. Working initially as a support analyst he joined FE Investments in 2011. Oliver has been responsible for the development and testing of the quantitative principles that underpin FE Investments’ research.
He currently has responsibility for monitoring portfolios to ensure that they remain within the performance and risk targets that have been set. Oliver gained the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning in 2014 and is also a Chartered Financial Planner.

Ed Margot

Toyosi Lewis
More about ToyosiToyosi is responsible for leading and developing the retirement proposition across our investment business. Toyosi joined from Timeline where he was responsible for providing technical support and training to IFAs and Wealth Managers on decumulation strategies. He also delivered the company’s bi-weekly retirement webinars on decumulation to financial advisers based in the UK, US and Canada. In this role, he also worked with financial advisers based in Ireland, South Africa and Australia so has a good understanding of different retirement strategies within a UK context and globally.
As a content contributor, he wrote articles on the sustainable withdrawal framework in investments and retirement.
He also has experience working on a regulatory project, with a leading Life Insurance company, that addressed gaps in non-advised annuity sales from clients’ pension investments as they approached retirement. Toyosi has held various roles in the financial services industry, including with KPMG and the Royal Bank of Scotland.
He is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) as well as the CFA Society of the UK and holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). Toyosi has a Masters from the University of Kent in International Finance & Economic Development.
Gregor Watt
More about GregorGregor joined FE Investments in 2020 to lead the company’s client reporting and communications. Before joining he managed the investment writing team at Scottish Widows where he was responsible for communicating the investment performance and investment strategy of the company’s £124bn of client assets.
Before becoming an investment writer Gregor worked as a financial journalist. He initially trained as a news journalist on the Sunday Times before specialising in business and finance. He was deputy editor of Money Marketing for seven years and has worked in print, online and broadcast media covering pensions, investments, financial markets, economics and personal finance.
Greg Colley
More about GregGreg studied Business with Economics at Northumbria University and graduated with First Class Honours. He then joined FE fundinfo’s high performance graduate programme where he spent a year in the Data Relationship Management team on the collection and validation of data for operations before moving to the FE Investments team. Greg has gained practical experience in the financial advice industry and used lifetime cash flow modelling software to help generate financial plans for high net worth clients.
Greg now works as an Investment Strategist and has comprehensive experience with FE Analytics to compare performance and risk of investment portfolios and fund managers.

Amandine Thierree

Edward Bateman
More about EdwardEdward joined FE fundinfo in 2017 on the Training Team where he was responsible for helping advisers and asset managers make the best and fullest use of FinXL and Analytics and gained a thorough understanding of the needs and practices of a wide range of clients before joining the portfolio management team in March 2020. He graduated with a Bsc in Business Administration from the University of Bath in 2012 and is currently a CFA candidate.
Jesse Liebelt CFA
More about JesseJesse joined FE in April 2023 as a Portfolio Manager. His key responsibilities include portfolio construction, monitoring and growth of FE’s bespoke range of portfolios. Prior to joining FE, Jesse worked as a Senior Performance Analyst at Ruffer LLP in London. Jesse moved to London in 2021 from Melbourne where he worked as an analyst at JBWere, a prestigious Wealth Management firm owned by the National Australian Bank. He holds a BSc in Commerce, majoring in Commercial Law and Finance and is a CFA Charterholder.
Rahul Daswani CFA
More about RahulRahul joined FE in May 2023 as a Portfolio Manager, taking on a key role in managing and monitoring the firm's largest Model Portfolio Service (MPS) offering, the Hybrid portfolio range. This range strategically blends risk-targeted passive and active strategies to optimise client investment outcomes. Prior to joining FE, Rahul spent over four years at Turicum Private Bank in Gibraltar, specialising in the advisory and discretionary portfolio offerings for High Net Worth clients. Rahul attained his CFA Charterholder designation in 2019 and graduated with an MSc in Finance from Cass Business School, London in 2016. Prior to this, Rahul graduated with a 1 st Class Honours in Economics and Finance from Oxford Brookes University in 2015.
Analyst Team
John Mactaggart
Fund out more about JohnJohn is responsible for overseeing our fixed income and government asset classes. He regularly holds meetings with managers to challenge them on performance and assess risk as part of our qualitative analysis to balance the quantitative side of our fund selection. He also assists with portfolio management of our Mosaic model range acting as the portfolio manager for the government bond funds and fixed income tiles. John previously worked four years at KPMG Investment Advisory assisting institutional clients with portfolio construction. He was responsible for driving fixed income idea generation and conducting research on fixed income funds for pension schemes, some holding assets in excess of £4bn. John’s background in economics provides a solid base for understanding fixed income markets. He studied undergraduate Economics and Accounting at the University of Bristol and a Masters in Economics at SOAS University of London. He has passed all three levels of the CFA program and obtained his charter in September 2020.
Zach Ryan
Fund out more about ZachZach joined FE in January 2021 as a Fund Analyst. He is responsible for covering Emerging Markets & Asia Pacific equity funds on the FE Invest Approved List. Before joining FE, he worked for three years as an analyst at WEALTH at work, producing investment recommendations on UK direct equities and collectives, across both active and passive strategies. Zach graduated with a BSc in Economics from the University of York in 2017. He holds the Investment Management Certificate and is a CFA Exam Level II candidate.
Jack Johnson
Fund out more about JackJack is responsible for review and monitoring of our fixed income/government bond asset classes, working alongside the Senior Fund Analysts in the team. He is a CFA Level II candidate and holds the CII Level 4 Certificate in Discretionary Investment Management. Jack is responsible for the conduct of regular review and update meetings with asset managers, to complement the detailed quantitative analysis conducted by the FEI Research team. He initially joined FE fundinfo in November 2018 straight out of university , beginning as a Training Consultant. This gave him an in-depth familiarity with our proprietary fund research software tools, as well as an extensive knowledge of numerous types of investment analysis data (including the use of financial ratios.) He was ultimately trusted with company-wide responsibility for the training function from 2020 as Senior Consultant, before coming across to join the Research Team in January 2022. Jack holds an MA (Hons) in International Studies and Diplomacy, and a BA (Hons) in African Language and Culture, both from SOAS University of London. His academic background drives his particular interest in macro/political effects on the markets.
Adam Rizvi
Fund out more about AdamAdam graduated from the University of Southampton with a BSc in Economics. Prior to joining FE Investments in 2021 as a fund analyst, he was a research analyst at IAM, where he focused on hedge funds and alternative UCITS. Previously, he worked as part of the hedge fund research team at Mercer. Adam started his career at Russell Investments in 2018 as an intern in the alternative investments division, where he focused on hedge funds and private markets. As a member of FE Investment’s fund research team, Adam is responsible for the selection of absolute return, property, and thematic strategies for the FE Investments Approved List.
Tom Green
Fund out more about TomAfter graduating with a Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Surrey, Tom joined FE fundinfo as part of their graduate scheme in 2019. First working in the FE Analytics training team and then the propositions team, his last rotation was with FE Investments on the research team. After finishing his graduate scheme, he stayed on the research team permanently as a Research Assistant where he aided the fund analysts with their work and analysis and is now a Fund Analyst.
James Piper
Fund out more about JamesJames joined FE Investments in March 2022 as a Fund Analyst. He is responsible for covering US & Global Equities on the FE Investments Approved List. James joined from AJ Bell Investments, where he spent 4 years as a Research Analyst, responsible for fund research and analysis on all actively managed investment solutions. Prior to this, James spent a year as an Operations Analyst for AJ Bell Investments and was heavily involved in the launch and implementation of the AJ Bell funds range. James holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and has a degree in Political, Economic and Social Sciences from the University of Sydney.
Tahia Tahmin
Fund out more about TahiaTahia joined FE fundinfo in March 2023 as a Fund Analyst, where she is responsible for covering Emerging Markets & Asia Pacific equity funds on the FE Invest Approved List and assisting with the portfolio management of the EM tile within the Mosaic model portfolio range. Tahia joined the investment industry in 2017 after graduating from the University of Portsmouth, achieving a Distinction in MSc Finance and upper second-class honours in BSc Economics. She started her career at Sanlam Investments in September 2017 as a Fund Operations Associate, and worked with the various investment teams, providing operational support in managing their mandates. She later joined the Wealth Multi-Asset team at Atomos Wealth in May 2019 as an Investment Analyst, where she was responsible for fund research and contributing to the construction and management of the Active, Index and Socially Responsible model portfolio services strategies. Tahia has completed the Investment Management Certificate, CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing, and studying towards the CFA Level I program.
Hana Gelnarova
Fund out more about HanaHana joined FE in June 2013 as Data Analyst. During the time she moved into a Senior Data Analyst role and Team Leader position in the Classifications Team which provides expert subjective analysis of FE’s attributes and sectors. In February 2023 Hana moved to Risk Management and started working as a Risk Analyst. She is responsible for monitoring FEI portfolios. Hana has graduated with a master’s degree in Business Economics.
