Streamlining Risk Profiling: FE Analytics and FE CashCalc Integration

In today's fast-paced financial advisory landscape, the ability to deliver seamless, technology-enabled advice has never been more crucial.

Last month, we took a significant step forward with the launch of our enhanced Client Portal, bringing advisers and their clients closer together through intuitive digital interactions.

Today, we're excited to announce another milestone in our journey towards a fully integrated advice ecosystem: the connection between FE Analytics' Investment Planner and FE CashCalc's Attitude to Risk Questionnaire (ATRQ).

Unifying your risk profiling process

We understand that maintaining consistency in risk profiling across different platforms is crucial for delivering sound financial advice and good consumer outcomes. With this new integration, advisers can now effortlessly sync ATRQ results between Investment Planner and FE CashCalc, ensuring a unified approach to risk assessment.

This integration is part of our broader vision to create a unified advisory experience. By bridging FE Analytics and FE CashCalc, we are laying the groundwork for our ambitious end-of-year platform evolution, which will dramatically improve how advisers interact with our suite of tools.

From client engagement to investment planning: A connected journey

The story begins with our recently enhanced Client Portal, where your clients can now engage more meaningfully with their financial journey. This ATRQ integration builds upon that foundation, creating a seamless flow from client risk assessment to investment planning. When a client completes their risk questionnaire, their profile now flows effortlessly into the investment planning process, eliminating barriers between client engagement and portfolio construction.

Key features

  • Quick, easy export: Transfer new ATRQ results directly from Investment Planner to FE CashCalc and vice versa
  • Smart Client Linking: Connect the ATRQ to existing clients or create new ones during first-time use
  • Synced Risk Profile Setting: Risk profiles are automatically updated and synced between FE CashCalc and the Investment Planner upon export
  • Version Control: The system prevents outdated ATRQ exports, maintaining data integrity
  • Seamless Navigation: Quick access and time saved by skipping 3 previous manual steps when creating a new plan in Investment Planner.

Enhancing efficiency in your daily workflow

This integration eliminates the need for duplicate data entry, saving valuable time that can be better spent with clients. When you're creating new ATRQs, the process is now streamlined and efficient.

What this means for you

  • Reduced administrative overhead
  • Consistent risk profiling across platforms
  • More time for value-adding client interactions
  • Enhanced data accuracy and integrity

Getting started

The integration is now live and ready to use within your FE Analytics Investment Planner and FE CashCalc. Follow these simple steps from Wednesday, 20 November to enable the new integration:

How to export from FE CashCalc to Investment Planner in FE Analytics

  1. Find the FE CashCalc Export trigger on the ATRQ revision page

  1. You will be prompted to either create a new client in FE Analytics, or link to an existing one (you only need to do this once).

  1. After setting a plan name, it will be created in Investment Planner. You can then either:

    1. Go to Investment Planner and search for your plan using the standard FE Analytics process, or

    2. Click the link from FE CashCalc to go directly to the ATR questionnaire summary page and continue the journey.

At launch, this integration will only work with newly created ATRQs moving forward. Due to differences in how historical questionnaires were structured between FE CashCalc and FE Analytics, existing ATRQs cannot be transferred between platforms. This ensures data integrity and consistent risk profiling as you begin using this new feature.

Looking ahead: An exclusive preview of what's coming

This integration offers a glimpse into our vision for the future of financial advice technology. As we approach our major platform evolution at the end of the year, each new feature we release is another piece of the puzzle, creating a more connected, efficient, and powerful advisory ecosystem.

Coming in January, you'll gain the ability to seamlessly transfer portfolio asset allocation data between FE Analytics and FE CashCalc. This will enable you to create dynamic cashflow forecasts that compare pre- and post-recommendation scenarios, giving you and your clients a clear view of how portfolio changes impact their financial future.

FAQs

Which version of the ATR questionnaire report can users export?

Users can only export the latest ATRQ report that’s been reviewed and created from Wednesday, 20 November onwards.

Can advisers adjust a client's risk level if they think the client needs a different risk adjustment?

If after reviewing the questionnaire results you think the client needs a different risk adjustment, you can adjust that but it will always have to be mentioned why in the notes section as seen below (Adviser Notes)

Are there any restrictions for exporting ATR questionnaires from Investment Planner to CashCalc?

Exporting the ATRQ from Investment Planner in FE Analytics to FE CashCalc it has to be a new ATRQ. If there is an ATRQ that exists in CashCalc with a more recent date, we don’t export it and you’ll be notified that a more recent one already exists. For this integration to work, you also need to use the eV questionnaire.
