Major FE fundinfo integration set to slash costs and transform platform switching for financial advisers

New functionality in FE Analytics reduces the number of different tools advisers need, enabling them to streamline their operations while meeting regulatory demands.

FE fundinfo, a leading financial data company connecting the asset management industry with wealth management networks across the UK, Europe and Asia Pacific, has announced the integration of award-winning FE Analytics with its recently acquired platform analysis solution, FE AdviserAsset - marking another step towards FE fundinfo’s vision of empowering the wealth management community with a unified, insight-driven ecosystem on a single software platform.

Simplification & cost reduction

Integrating FE AdviserAsset into FE Analytics eliminates the need for additional software tools for platform charge comparisons, investment switching, consolidation analysis, and platform due diligence. It also introduces single sign-on (SSO) and a more intuitive workflow, seamlessly combining platform analysis with FE fundinfo’s best-in-class fund and portfolio database. Additionally, fund and portfolio transfers are automated within the platform analysis, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.

Better client outcomes

A key feature of the platform analysis tool is its award-winning Reduction in Yield (RIY) methodology. While most tools calculate RIYs for each asset individually, FE AdviserAsset aggregates assets, allowing tiered platform charges to be factored in. This typically results in a lower RIY and a more accurate analysis, which is critical for compliance and better client outcomes.

The platform is supported by a comprehensive database of platform charges and fund information, which can be customized for bespoke platform deals, ensuring precise comparisons. This helps firms meet FCA guidelines by justifying and recording platform recommendations, while clear reporting enhances transparency and demonstrates platform suitability for clients.

Platform due diligence

The platform analysis tools include Platform Due Diligence, which can be conducted at a firm, segment, or individual level. This process is built on a comprehensive framework aligned with FCA guidelines for platform selection.

Results are driven by each advisers’ key priorities, such as functionality, costs, service, and product options required from platform partners. Once these priorities are set, platforms are ranked based on how well they meet them. A key component of this analysis is user survey feedback on platform service performance, complementing the objective criteria with real-world insights.

This approach creates a rich source of social validation, becoming more robust as additional users contribute their views. With FE Analytics being widely adopted by UK advice firms, this integration is set to become a key source of industry intelligence to help platforms remain competitive, with increased transparency on how advisers select, rank and evaluate providers. High-performing platforms receive the FE fundinfo Platinum rating, a recognized mark of quality delivery.

As part of FE fundinfo’s Nexus for Financial Advisers, this development empowers firms to make more data-driven decisions. It aligns with FE fundinfo’s strategy to be a one-stop technology provider for financial advisers, delivering fully connected, scalable, and compliant solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce risk.

For the 75% of UK advice firms already using FE Analytics, this integration adds significant value to their existing license, streamlining workflows and allowing more time for client engagement.

Jodie Gallagher, Head of UK IFA Products at FE fundinfo, said: "This announcement is another significant step in our strategy to simplify complexity for financial advisers by consolidating essential tools within our Nexus platform. As regulatory and operational challenges grow, we are streamlining platform analysis and due diligence, providing a single source of truth in a more accessible and efficient solution."
